Maximus is cdplayer for Windows 95. It is freeware which means that you
don't pay any money for it but you are not allowed to sell it.
Here is brief information about Maximus possibilities:
- Naming disc and tracks with no length limit(no new base is created, uses CDPLAYER.INI, even greater than 64k)
- Digital clock showing elapsed or remaining time of track, disc or program
- Direct jump to any track on disc using its number or song name
- Jumping to any position within track
- Can be minimized to system tray next to clock
- Programming :
- Any part of track can be put in program
- Every program has its own volume settings
- Every program can fade in and fade out
- Editing information about all discs (not just the one in drive)
- Finding artist or song on any disc in your collection
- Fade in & Fade out
- Shuffle, Scan and Single modes of playing
- In scan mode beginning, middle or end of track can be played
- Repeat possible
- Alarm option
- Sleep option with fade out
- Volume control and mute in Maximus window
- You can track what discs you have lent to friends
- Continuing playing last track before windows was shutdown or restarted
- When minimized to system tray next to clock then :
- Occupies only 80kb of memory
- Displays song names and lets you choose song by its name
- Can play program created by Maximus including start and end position and fading
- Shuffle play
- Alarm and sleep option
